The best MMA fighter of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Stojnic, responded after a few days to Ricco Rodriguez who'd challenged him immediately after winning at FFC 5 in Osijek last week. But the answer was, just like in the case of the fight with Maro Perak in Zadar, negative.
Stojnic still insists on his list of fighters he wants to get in the ring with, claiming that beating them would secure him a return to the world's best MMA organization.
"I'm not afraid of anyone! UFC matchmaker Joe Silva stated and emphasized by e-mail: 'Denis, Mirko Filipovic, Jeff Monson, Andrei Arlovski or Mustafa Al Turk will get you back in the UFC'. Monson, Arlovski and Mustafa want to fight me, but those guys have their price, and I'll fight them in any city," Denis once again reiterated his by now well-known position.
In a statement for sport24.ba, Stojnic claimed that he'd also contacted the UFC regarding a fight against their former heavyweight champion. "Well done to Ricco Rodriguez for his career, but I asked Joe Silva about Rodriguez and he's not getting me back in the UFC! I think that the previously mentioned fighters would agree to fight in the FFC and I'd love it if we could make a true spectacle and Orsat to be my manager even later when I get back to the UFC. I don't want to fight outside of the UFC anymore," the Bosnian fighter currently training in Holland pointed out.
